Ch-ch-ch-changes!

Where to begin?

School is in full swing. It's only one class and I am glad. There is not a ton of homework for this class, but... I HAVE FREAKIN' HOMEWORK TO DO! Sitting down with my textbook for two hours and doing problems and exercises is just weird. Couple that with the actual class, which takes about five hours round trip twice a week, and study time and it's a big time drain. Though it was kind of like that before, I now find myself planning time to hang out with my friends weeks in advance. EVERYTHING now goes in my calendar.

That having been said, it's totally worth it. The lab component of my class is not quite as much like Mr. Wizard or Bill Nye the Science Guy as I had envisoned, but the subject matter is fascinating. We are doing the basic laws of motion kind of stuff and I am just eating it up. Maybe I'll end up as some kind of mechanical engineer. Who knows?

So, as you might have pieced together, I am excited and ready to hang up my "career musican" hat and prepare for a full-fledged return to academia. Which is weird because as soon as I made peace with that decision, I got for what could be a big/promising audition. Colmery did astutely remind me that sometimes we have to lose our lives to find them.
