What a Glorious Day

Sunday was one of the best days of my life.

Sunday was one of the best days of my life.

I had to write it twice so that you could understand that that statement is a truthful one and not at all an exaggeration.

Sunday was Easter and I woke up with a little of prayer (it was even the thankful kind and not the Magic Genie kind) and this palpable excitement because it was so vivid to me in that moment that Jesus rose from the dead after having died for your and my salvation.

That's a little long to type twice, but the same feeling applies.

I would be a dirty liar if I did not concede that a good deal of that excitement was because I was about to play bass in front of 12,000 people at the Hollywood Bowl. Playing the Bowl has always been one of my musical dreams and to have that happen in a worship context with some of my closest friends in the world, well, I don't think that excitement was uncalled for.

After the service I got a chance to see and catch up with a lot of people that I typically don't get a chance too. I am such a relationship driven guy and it felt really great to catch up with a lot of friends that I don't get to see enough of.

My awesome day is not yet over, but I'm typing this on my phone and my thumbs are not quite up to seeing this long post through in one sitting.

More to come.
