So I have a fridge FULL of choice libations for me to tell you about,
but I've been a little swamped lately. I took my final in my physics
class last night (which I rocked, BTW) and should have more time for
putting up some new reviews. I've actually gone as far as to not drink
the beers of which I only have one so that I can give them my full
attention.
Believe me, to pick up a beer and realize that I can't drink it because
I don't have time to review it is hard.
Really hard.
So I've been pulling from my recent sixers of Victory Brewing's Hop
Wallop and Deschutes Brewery's Obsidian Stout. Both very tasty in
totally different ways. Reviews also pending.
So does this mean that I need to buy beer specifically for reviewing and
other beer for more relaxed drinking? Just make sure that I get two of
each? Ugh. Decisions, decisions...

I love Obsidian Stout. And Black Butte Porter. Those were definitely two of my "go-to" beers back in the states.
Hey, quasi related question: I've been going to bars and pubs more since I've lived over here (i.e., went to a bar maybe 3 times in the states, get to a bar or pub t least weekly over here) and I've noticed that a lot of places have rotating real ales and make a big deal of it. Some pubs even have just a tap for Guiness and then have 7 or 8 rotating real ales. Do you know of any good real ale bars/pubs back in L.A., or even the valley? I'd love to check some out on my trip.
